St. John’s Lutheran School Author Visit
It was such an incredible blessing to be able to share our book & creative process with the k-3rd grade scholars of St. John’s Lutheran @sjlsorange! St. John’s is an environment of genuine love equipping students to use their gifts to make a difference in the World! In doing so, we were able to raise hundreds of dollars through book sales to help feed hungry children … way to go Mustangs! A very special thank you to Principal Dr. Hollatz & our fabulous Librarian Mrs. Barber for making this author visit possible and exceeding our every expectation! It was so exciting to see these intrinsically motivated learners take an active role in their learning by using our math mini-lesson, as well as open ended writing prompt to explore ideas and collaborate in their classrooms! When 2nd grade students were asked what will the Magic Maple Tree grow next? A student responded with “books”!! (My favorite)

St. John’s scholars were given an open ended writing prompt to take the learning back to thier classrooms and brainstorm sequel ideas! This is what they came up with…
